📜 Terms and Conditions for Sale of Full-Price Kittens
- Applicability
- These Terms and Conditions apply solely to kittens sold at full purchase price (“Full-Price Kittens”).
- Kittens sold at reduced, discounted, or “pet-quality” pricing are subject to separate agreements and are not covered by the provisions of this section.
- These Terms and Conditions apply solely to kittens sold at full purchase price (“Full-Price Kittens”).
- Florida Statute §828.29 Compliance
- In accordance with Florida Statute §828.29, all Full-Price Kittens offered for sale shall be accompanied by a current, valid Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by a licensed Florida veterinarian.
- This certificate shall document all required examinations, vaccinations, deworming, and other state-mandated health procedures.
- Buyer acknowledges and understands that the seller is required by law to comply with these regulations only for Full-Price Kittens, and such compliance shall be deemed fully satisfied upon delivery of the CVI at the time of sale.
- In accordance with Florida Statute §828.29, all Full-Price Kittens offered for sale shall be accompanied by a current, valid Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by a licensed Florida veterinarian.
- Health Warranties and Limitations
- Except as required by Florida Statute §828.29, Seller makes no additional express or implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, genetic soundness, or future health outcomes.
- Seller shall not be held liable for conditions, illnesses, or defects that were not reasonably detectable at the time of veterinary inspection.
- Buyer acknowledges that animals are living beings and that future health cannot be guaranteed.
- Except as required by Florida Statute §828.29, Seller makes no additional express or implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, genetic soundness, or future health outcomes.
- Remedies under Florida Law
- Buyer’s remedies are expressly limited to those set forth under Florida Statute §828.29, including (as applicable):
- The right to return the kitten within the statutory period for a refund,
- The right to exchange for another kitten of equal value, or
- Reimbursement of authorized veterinary expenses as defined by law.
- The right to return the kitten within the statutory period for a refund,
- No additional remedies, damages, or claims beyond those provided in §828.29 shall be available to the Buyer.
- Buyer’s remedies are expressly limited to those set forth under Florida Statute §828.29, including (as applicable):
- Jurisdiction and Governing Law
- This Agreement shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Florida.
- Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Seller’s county of residence.

- Entire Agreement
- These Terms and Conditions, together with the Bill of Sale, Certificate of Veterinary Inspection, and any written addenda signed by both parties, constitute the entire agreement regarding the sale of Full-Price Kittens.
- No verbal representations, implied guarantees, or promises not expressly contained herein shall be binding upon the Seller.

📜Terms and Conditions for Adoption of Pet-Quality Kittens
Effective Date: 9/1/2025
Welcome to Four Catteries. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before proceeding with the adoption of a Pet-Quality kitten. By finalizing an adoption through our website, you agree to the following policies:
1. Pet-Quality Definition
- Pet-Quality kittens are placed into homes strictly as companions.
- These kittens may not meet breed-standard characteristics for showing or breeding and are therefore available at an adoption fee that is lower than Full-Price kittens.
2. Health and Veterinary Care
- Each kitten has received basic care, including deworming and at least one administration of the FVRCP (“triple”) vaccine, provided by the Four Catteries.
- Florida Statute §828.29 requires veterinary certification for Full-Price kittens; however, Pet-Quality kittens are excluded from this requirement.
- By adopting a Pet-Quality kitten, you acknowledge and agree that no Certificate of Veterinary Inspection is provided and that you are responsible for all further veterinary care.
3. Exclusion of Statutory Remedies
- Full-Price kittens sold for show or breeding purposes are protected under Florida Statute §828.29.
- Pet-Quality kittens are expressly excluded from these protections.
- By adopting a Pet-Quality kitten, you waive any rights to refunds, exchanges, veterinary reimbursements, or claims of unfitness under Florida law.
4. No Warranty or Guarantee
- All kittens are adopted on an “AS IS” basis.
- No warranties, express or implied, are provided regarding health, temperament, or breeding potential.
- The Seller is not responsible for future illnesses, hereditary conditions, behavioral concerns, or veterinary costs once adoption is complete.
5. Adopter Responsibilities
- You agree to provide lifelong care for your kitten, including proper food, shelter, enrichment, and veterinary attention.
- You accept full responsibility for the kitten’s well-being as of the moment adoption is finalized.
- You may not resell the kitten to any broker, dealer, or pet shop.
6. Finality of Adoption
- All adoption fees for Pet-Quality kittens are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Once a kitten has been delivered or picked up, the adoption is final.
- No returns or exchanges are permitted for Pet-Quality kittens.
7. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions represent the full and final agreement between Four Catteries and the adopting family regarding Pet-Quality kittens.
By completing an adoption through this website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Return and Refund Policy
🐾 Return & Refund Policy
1. General Policy
- All kitten sales are final and non-refundable, subject only to the limited rights provided under Florida Statute §828.29 for Full-Price kittens.
- Affordable / Pet-Quality kittens are expressly excluded from any return, refund, or exchange rights and are adopted strictly on an “AS IS” basis.
2. Full-Price Kittens
For kittens purchased at the full purchase price, the following applies, consistent with Florida Statute §828.29:
- If, within 14 days of purchase, a licensed Florida veterinarian certifies in writing that the kitten was unfit for sale due to illness, contagious disease, or parasites (excluding fleas and ticks), the Buyer may elect one of the following:
- (a) Return the kitten for a refund of the purchase price, including sales tax, plus reimbursement for reasonable veterinary costs directly related to the examination and certification of unfitness;
- (b) Return the kitten for an exchange of equivalent value, plus reimbursement for reasonable veterinary costs directly related to the examination and certification of unfitness; or
- (c) Retain the kitten and receive reimbursement for reasonable veterinary costs for treatment, not to exceed the purchase price of the kitten.
- (a) Return the kitten for a refund of the purchase price, including sales tax, plus reimbursement for reasonable veterinary costs directly related to the examination and certification of unfitness;
- If, within 1 year of purchase, a licensed veterinarian certifies that the kitten suffers from a congenital or hereditary disorder that adversely affects health, the Buyer may elect the same remedies as above.
- Buyer must provide Seller with written notice and veterinary certification within 2 business days of the determination of unfitness, and deliver such certification within 3 business days thereafter.
- Refunds or exchanges shall be made by Seller within 10 business days of receiving valid certification.
3. Buyer Responsibilities
- Buyer accepts full responsibility for the kitten’s ongoing care and expenses immediately upon transfer.
- Buyer agrees that any injuries, illnesses, or conditions arising after transfer are the sole responsibility of Buyer and shall not be grounds for refund or return.
4. Finality of Sale
- By completing the purchase, Buyer acknowledges and agrees that the Return & Refund Policy has been disclosed, explained, and accepted in full.
- This policy constitutes the entire agreement between Buyer and Seller regarding refunds and returns, and supersedes all prior verbal or written representations.
🐾 Return & Refund Policy for Adoption of Pet-Quality Kittens

At Four Catteries, we strive to ensure that every kitten is placed in a safe, loving, and permanent home. Because of the special nature of adopting a living animal, the following Return & Refund Policy applies to all Pet-Quality kitten adoptions.
1. No Refunds
- All adoption fees for Pet-Quality kittens are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable.
- By completing an adoption, you acknowledge that fees cannot be refunded under any circumstances, including but not limited to health, temperament, or changes in personal circumstances.
2. No Returns or Exchanges
- Once a kitten has been delivered or picked up, the adoption is considered finalized and permanent.
- For health, safety, and biosecurity reasons, kittens may not be returned or exchanged.
- We cannot rehome kittens that have left our care, as this could compromise the health of our cattery and other animals.
3. Statutory Exclusion
- Florida Statute §828.29 provides protections and remedies for the sale of full-price kittens; however, Pet-Quality kittens are expressly excluded from these requirements.
- By adopting a Pet-Quality kitten, you agree that you waive all statutory remedies under Florida law regarding refunds, exchanges, veterinary costs, or claims of unfitness.
4. Adopter Responsibility
- Upon adoption, the Adopter assumes full and permanent responsibility for the kitten’s health, welfare, and veterinary care.
- The Adopter agrees that no future costs, medical conditions, or behavioral issues shall be the responsibility of Four Catteries.
5. Special Circumstances
- If at any time you are unable to care for your kitten, please contact Four Catteries. While we are not obligated to accept the kitten back, we may assist in networking to find a new, appropriate home.
- Any rehoming must comply with the prohibition against resale to brokers, dealers, or pet shops.
6. Final Agreement
By completing an adoption, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Return & Refund Policy for Pet-Quality Kittens.
